Direct Access motorcycle training
|
Welcome to the news section. We still do all our training on a One to One Basis, and only two or three hours at a time. We always ask students when they pass the test if they were happy with the training done like that, we have not yet had anyone that would have preferred a 2 to 1 intensive course. When the test changes in October 2008, the test centre will not be in Bury St Edmunds. Therefore 2 to 1 Intensive courses will probably be the only cost effective method of training. For these reasons we planned some last summer however only very few were taken up. The vast majority of customers preferred one to one training. There was a discount on the 2 – 1 courses but we are no more expensive than other schools anyway with the bonus on individual tuition. We are working on courses for the new test and trying to do it in such a way that most of the training is One to One. Early days yet, watch this space! Thanks to the people who have given us their custom. Congratulations on passing your tests or completing your CBT training courses. Many of you call in to see us whilst out on your own bikes, or some keep in touch on e-mail. It is good to see you, or at least hear from you. Thanks also to you all that worked hard at your riding and helped to keep our test pass rate up. Pass rate last year, down a bit on our normal at 88% but still well up on the test centre average of 64% Again this year a high percentage of our students have been female. In most cases they had not had any experience on bikes and many struggled with weight of the direct access bikes, however 1st time pass rate was slightly higher than the males. Congratulations also to those who have done the CBT course, in particular those who were very nervous but still reached the required standard
