Direct Access Motorcycle Training (DAS) with SMART RIDER.

All our Direct Access training prices are based on one student with one instructor, (sometimes the last hour when going to the test centre there may be 2 students).

Essentially all training is priced per hour and the amount of training you need depends on your experience and how quickly you learn.

However we have put together some courses which include everything (apart from the Theory test) and offer a saving on our standard prices. Included is the CBT (deduct £90 if you already have a valid certificate), Bike hire (on 2007 bikes), test fee, fuel, full bike insurance with no excess, and One to One training.

Most Schools advertise a price which looks attractive but does not include everything.

- Experienced £580 (extra hours @ £45 per hour)
A 10 hour course for car drivers who already ride a 125cc bike regularly.

- Standard £680 (extra hours @ £35 per hour)
A 13 hour course for car drivers who have had reasonable experience on a 125cc bike

- Novice £780 (extra hours @ £30 per hour)
A 16 hour course for car drivers with no riding experience.

All these are for experienced Car drivers. Non drivers would need more time.

Training can be done in a few days or spread over a few weeks, whichever suits you. However we do not recommend more than 3 hours at a time.

A Standard (13 hour) Direct Access course would be:-

• CBT on a 125cc geared bike.
• 3 hours practice with the 500cc bike off road, then a long ride in the countryside to really get used to it.
• 3 hours out on the road practice hill starts, u-turns & emergency stops. Left & right turns Roundabouts etc.
• 3 hours, general ride in town practicing likely test routes and all the manoeuvres.
• 3 hours, more general riding and a mock test.
• 1 hour just before the test, to settle you down.

This is usually enough for current road users who have no significant problems riding a bike. The vast majority of students pass the test with the above training. But everyone is different and some people take longer. We can adjust the course to suit you. You may need a few hours on a 125cc before you progress onto the bigger bike. Or you may just need a few more hours on the 500cc. We can tailor the training to suit you.

Train with a friend.
All of the above is based on One To One training. If You wish to train with a friend. Deduct £100.00 each from the above prices.

Terms:
You must be 21 years old to take direct access.
You must have a Valid Motorcycle Theory Test Certificate.
- £100, non refundable deposit payable on booking.
- £100 payable on day of C.B.T.
- Balance payable at first lesson.
If extra lessons are required they will paid for as you take them.
