Who are we?

Smart rider is operated by Tony Fuller who, apart from 36 years riding experience, has passed a variety of relevant riding and instructional tests including;

- Institute of advanced motorists (IAM) advanced test
- IAM observer test.
- IAM senior observer test
- The DSA Special test for motorcycle instructors (this is a recently introduced test and is voluntary, it is expected that some time in the future all instructors will have to pass this or an equivalent i.e. RoSPA diploma).

These tests require a very high standard of riding, observation, and instructional skills; they are in addition to the required DSA Cardington test which you must have to run an approved training school. Tony has been training riders at all levels for about 12 years

We also have Glen Mures who only started riding about 5 years ago, (Tony did his CBT) but he is an exceptional rider and has in that very short period gone on to pass;

- IAM Advanced Test
- IAM Observers Test
- IAM Senior Observer Test
- DSA Cardington instructor
- RoSPA advanced test (and got a Gold first time out which is very rare)
- RoSPA Diploma. This requires a very high standard of practical, theoretical & presentational skills in advanced riding Techniques. This is recognised as being the highest qualification a civilian Motorcycle instructor can obtain. Glen did not just pass but he got a Distinction for his instructional skills and a Merit for his own riding.
